Some days I just mess it all up. I’m offended that my people don’t like the tacos I made Tuesday. I yell at the kids. I serve to curry your favor. I don’t see the blessings of dirty dishes and a floor to mop, I just see more and more that I have to do.

Some days are more than a Pinterest fail, they’re a Way-of-Jesus fail.

But here is the truth I know: While my actions have consequences, my fails do not eclipse what God has in store or His purpose for me.

God is the One who knows my name and the number of hairs on my head.

He is the One who has a plan and a purpose for me.

He is the One I cannot out-run.

He is the One I cannot out-sin.

I am thankful that God is in the restoration business. He is for me and works things for good. Even the yelling. Even my offended heart. Even my broken service.

God works in ways I cannot see, to do things I cannot imagine. In Him and in that truth, I place my trust.
