If you have questions about how to live out the gospel or if sharing it freaks you out on the inside, this is your episode.
We’re walking through what it means to “live the gospel,” what that looks like for you in your inner life and what that looks like as you interact with others.
What does “living the gospel” actually look like? Let’s think of the gospel-life overflowing into two buckets:
- We live it inwardly by application.
- We live it outwardly by sharing.
Key Quotes
- The life we are meant to live is the life of the gospel.
- I intellectually understand that Jesus has forgiven me, that I make mistakes, that I’m not ever gonna get it right all the time, but have I forgiven myself?
- Gospel-living means gospel-sharing.
- It is the mission of the Body of Christ to share the good news, so we work together as brothers and sisters to share the gospel, and that not one person is called to share the good news to all the people all the time.
- Sharing the gospel is the cherry on top, but it’s not the sole aim of every interaction we have.
- Our goal in gospel-life is not to share the good news ad nauseam so people avoid us and feel like they’re in for a multi-level marketing scheme. Our goal is to listen to the still, small voice of the Spirit and obey.
- God knows me and my weakness is welcomed. God loves me and invites me to fall back into His arms again and again. God accepts me, and His resurrection means all will be right in the end.
